Disclosure: I received this Z60 through MOVA's Get & Create program at no cost in exchange for honest feedback. Everything here is my real experience with our house, kids and pets!
Mopping Performance
The thing that stood out the most during the first clean was definitely the mopping. Most of our house is LVP flooring, so having a robot that can mop well is important for us.
Right away I could tell the mopping was doing a good job. The floors looked noticeably cleaner after the run, and the mop pads stayed consistently damp throughout the cleaning cycle. It didn’t look like they were drying out halfway through like I’ve seen with some other robot mops.
It also seemed to keep good contact with the floor while moving around, which helped pick up dust and light dirt. For a first run without adjusting any settings, I was honestly pretty impressed with how the floors looked afterward.
The Negative – Rug Cleaning
The main issue I noticed during the first cleaning run was how it handled one of our rugs.
We have a golden retriever, so there’s always some level of dog hair around the house. On the rug there was a little bit of dog hair along with one of those small leftover dog toys. When the Z60 went over the rug, it didn’t pick up the toy and also left some of the hair behind.
It went over the rug a couple of times, but it didn’t seem to have quite enough power or brush action to grab everything that was there. The toy stayed in the same spot after the cleaning run, and some of the hair was still visible on the rug.
To be fair, this was the first run with completely default settings, so I haven’t adjusted any carpet or suction settings yet. I’m planning to try increasing the carpet boost or adjusting the rug settings in the app to see if that improves things.
It also might just take a couple runs for the mapping and cleaning paths to get fully optimized. Still, it’s something I noticed right away, especially with pet hair.
I am going to adjust the settings out of the AI mode and test again to see if the vacuum performance is any better.
Stay tuned!
