To give this robot a real challenge, I sent it out on a vacuum-only route with max suction turned on across my thick living room rug. At first it seemed a little hesitant as it approached the edge of the carpet, but once it caught its bearings it climbed right up and continued cleaning like normal. It didn’t stall, spin in place, or struggle the way some other robots I’ve used have done on thicker rugs.
Once it was on the carpet it handled the surface really well and kept moving without any issues. For rugs like this I always run the robot on max suction and usually set it to two or three passes. That extra pass helps pull out more dust and debris and keeps the carpet looking fresh.
