After running the MOVA Z60 consistently for several weeks, I started paying attention to the small things that really show how intelligent a robot vacuum is. The cleaning history in the app currently shows 22 completed cycles covering more than 40,000 square feet, which gave me a good opportunity to observe how the robot behaves in different situations.
One thing that stood out quickly is the obstacle recognition system. During several runs, the robot identified objects like power cords and shoes, which you can see in the recognition screenshots. Instead of getting tangled or stuck like some older robot vacuums I’ve used before, the Z60 correctly flagged them and navigated around them. The app even displays the detection confidence percentage, which is a nice detail because it shows how the system is interpreting obstacles in real time.
Carpet cleaning is another area where the robot performs well. In the settings you can see options like Carpet Boost, Intensive Carpet Cleaning, and Mop Lift, which automatically adjust how the robot behaves when it transitions from hard floors to carpet. I enabled these features so the robot slows down and increases suction when it detects carpet, while lifting the mop pads to avoid wetting the surface.
Watching the cleaning map after each run is also interesting. The robot follows a very structured path across the rooms rather than randomly moving around. The map from one of the runs shows over 2,100 square feet cleaned in a single cycle, which explains why the full cleaning sessions typically take several hours.
Another part of ownership that people rarely talk about is maintenance. The photos of the water tanks show the difference between the dirty and clean water after a run. It’s actually satisfying to see how much debris and dirt the robot pulls from the floor that you might not notice day-to-day.
After more than twenty cleaning cycles, the biggest takeaway is that the Z60 doesn’t just clean—it learns the environment and adapts to it, whether that’s avoiding objects, adjusting for carpets, or maintaining a consistent cleaning pattern.
So far, it’s been a very reliable addition to the daily cleaning routine.
