[P10 Pro] Robot doing job for over 6.5 hours and still isn't half way done

Last edited by UY821290 on 2025-12-8 01:52

I just received this robot on Wednesday. Out of 6.5 hours, it's only run for 119 minutes because it keeps going back to charge on an increasingly shorter and shorter battery life. Additionally, it keeps doing this thing where it will make one movement and then stop for 10-15 seconds, sitting there like it is having some existential crisis. This means in those 119 minutes, it's covers only two rooms. On the first run, it was fine, but battery life seemed low. Now it is doing this behavior consistently. I did a factory reset to see if it helped out it was due do some setting I changed, and again it ran fine the first time, but now it is doing this behavior again.

Also, while it is sitting, I cannot interact with the robot in any way. It will be unresponsive even if I press a button on the robot until it finished its existential crisis, so it is clearly experiencing some error or internal loop repeatedly.

That's not normal, mine does an amazing job and it takes 1h, (maybe 1:45 for intensive cleaning) to clean my main floor. Is your home huge?

No. About 1400 sq feet.

My new P10 pro ultra took 8hrs to clean our 3000 sf home and that doesn't include the master bedroom. But now it won't fully vacuum any rooms with carpet without going back to clean the mop pads even though it's only on carpet than it comes back to finish vacuuming. The longest run was 1hr 40min before recharge then goes back at 15% and starts again when it reaches 38%

Hello,

Based on your description, it seems that after performing a factory reset, the robot runs normally the first time but then starts experiencing frequent pauses, stop-and-go behavior, and repeated recharging. This could be caused by several factors.

First, the pauses may be due to the robot attempting to reposition itself or reestablish its navigation path. If the Wi-Fi signal is unstable or the map data is corrupted, it could lead to frequent stalling or erratic movement.

Additionally, abnormal battery performance or internal system lag could also contribute to these issues. We recommend placing the base station and router in a location with a stronger, more stable signal, recreating the map from scratch, and ensuring the firmware is up to date. Please observe whether the situation improves after these steps.

If the problem persists, we suggest reaching out to our after-sales support team for further assistance.

Hello. The robot base station is right next to our router already. We have stable wifi to all other devices on the network. The firmware is up to date, and the map had been reset when we reset it to factory defaults and it had just happened again.

Hi there, you can also try using one phone to create a mobile hotspot as the Wi-Fi network, then use another phone to connect to that hotspot and set up the robot. This can help test whether the issue is network-related.

If the problem persists, it may be related to an internal hardware issue with the robot.
