I hate that most robot vacuums rely heavily on bump sensors, so they basically tap into furniture first and then adjust. Over time that scratches both the robot and the furniture.
Especially with wood furniture, I don’t like scratches.
The Z60 slows down as it approaches objects and usually stops just before making contact. I noticed the same behavior around loose cords as well, I just threw one in to show the behavior — the camera is helpful to recognize them and route around instead of trying to cross over them.
It also works well with most things like shoes and slippers. The only place I found it to mess with is air vents in the floor. But that is because the spinning brush gets caught in the slit. (mine are not perfect so there is a small gap)
Otherwise I think this robot has exceeded all my expectations.
