Before I get into the review, I want to be transparent. I received the MOVA Z60 Ultra through MOVA’s Get & Create program at no cost in exchange for sharing my honest experience. That said, everything here reflects my real-world use of the vacuum in my own home. My goal isn’t to make staged or overly polished cleaning content—I’m interested in seeing how well this robot performs in everyday living conditions. MOVA also made it clear they want honest feedback, not just positive reviews, so here’s the first real issue I’ve run into.
In my kitchen, I’ve got standard cabinets with that little recessed space underneath. Like most kitchens, that area collects everything—dust, crumbs, kosher salt from cooking, even some ground coffee. It’s exactly the kind of spot I was hoping the robot would take care of, but so far, it’s been missing most of it. In addition to the video, I've posted some before-and-after photos.
The issue seems to be the side brush. Under the kitchen cabinets specifically, it doesn’t extend for the duration of cleaning under the cabinet, so it never reaches under that edge to pull debris out. In the slight area it does extend, it does its job perfectly. But after a foot or so, the brush retracts, and because of that, the vacuum cruises past and leaves everything sitting there. I’ve run multiple cleaning cycles, thinking maybe it would approach it differently or eventually pick it up, but the result has been pretty much the same every time.
What’s interesting is that in the rest of my apartment, the side brush actually works the way I expected. Along walls, furniture edges, and in corners, I can see it extend and do its job just fine. That’s why this stood out to me—it seems specific to that cabinet area rather than a total failure of the feature.
Overall, everything else has been solid so far, which is why this stood out. These are pretty normal, everyday situations—especially in a kitchen—and they’re the kinds of things I was hoping a robot vacuum would handle easily.
If anyone from MOVA Support or any forum member sees this, I’d honestly be curious—am I missing a setting or doing something wrong that would prevent the side brush from extending under cabinets? If so, I will update this post.
