Since I have two pets in my home, i use a silicone mat to help collect the mess, which makes it much easier to clean. The vacuums, however, find it difficult to clean. No matter for the Z60!
The Z60: as you can see, it deliberately avoids getting stuck on this material, and opts out of cleaning it. The extendable brush cleans around the material, which is what i want. Since this is the first time the Z60 has cleaned this space after mapping, it auto adjusts according to what the robot detects, and that can be seen in the app
The S20: this robot doesn’t detect or recognize the material as an object to avoid since it’s flushed with the floor, which makes cleaning difficult for it. As you can see, the S20 attempts to clean the area while avoiding the two obstacles on the mat itself.
Overall: the Z60 does a great job at recognizing different areas and materials to categorize them automatically for ease. In the app, you can set a “No-Go Zone” if you do not wish for the robot to clean that specific area, which is what can also be done for the S20, but the Z60 automatically recognizes the material and cleans around it regardless. Definitely another win for the Z60!
